iSafety offers classroom based Gas Detection training courses that include training on gas detectors, bumper gas, and gas detection accessories. Upon completion of this course you will learn how to perform inspections, gas tests, interpret alarms, evaluate evacuation and alarm responses, and the limitations of gas detection equipment.

- Lower Explosive Limit (LEL)
- Occupational Exposure Limits (OEL)
- Hot work and gas testing legislative requirements in the Alberta OH&S Act
- Hot work in accordance with NFPA 51B Standard for Fire Prevention
This course includes an instructor led presentation, practical exercises, class discussion, written knowledge test and practical exam.
We can deliver this course to your site, or it’s available at our training facility. iSafety will provide all of the necessary training equipment and materials, including computers. If the course is delivered on-site, you must provide a training facility equipped with power and enough room to safely carry out practical exercises.
